Search Tips
All fields are optional. When selected, fields work together to limit your search results. For example, to limit your search to all codes containung "Youth" in the Subject heading and "education" in the text of the code, you would enter "Youth" in the Subject field and "education" in the Keyword field.
Type of Document: Specify which type of document to search for.
Full Text - Displays the full text of the case.
Summary Only - Displays a short discription of the case.
Case Number: Type ONLY the NUMBER of the case. In the SEHO database a typical case number is 3 digits.
Subject: Enter subject keywords to search for.
Case Year Filed: Select a year.
Keyword*: Enter words that will help limit your search.
Return: Choose the number of subject headings you would like the search engine to display on each page.
*The keyword field does not support Boolean operators such as AND and/or OR. You do not need to use quotation marks ("") to delimit your search words.
When you are ready to retrieve records from the database, click on the Start
Search button at the bottom of the page.
